Interactive Late Movie List
A new interactive system has been developed to help you with your late movie list.
This automated system builds a list of customers with late movies (outstanding)
and organizes them on a grid. Your clerk could then make the calls to these customers
reminding them of their late movies. What’s unique about this system is that it
allows you to maintain notes about the customer and the information regarding the
last contact.
This removes the headache of calling the same customer day after day when no call
is necessary. For instance, when the customer tells your clerk he will bring in
the movies on Thursday (3 days from now). This will help prevent subsequent calls
and annoying the customer.
The grid offers a hot button to the customer’s late item information that shows
the titles, date checked out, due dates, and days late. An email icon is available
for each customer with valid email address that will start an email to the customer.
Subscription Plans
A new system has been developed for retailers that wish to engage in subscription
pricing. This system allows for multiple subscription plans and is configurable
for the types of rental products (genre, category, so on), maximum units out at
a time, tax rate, and selling price.
These plans are sold right at the transaction screen and rentals may be applied
at the same time as the subscription plan purchase. A new “Mode” has been created
to identify the rentals going out on a subscription plan “Subs”. The End of Day
report will indicate the number of subscription plans sold and the number of rentals
on subscription plans for the day.
Two new reports were created for this system: a renewal report and a utilizations
report. The renewal report will provide you a list of customers whose subscription
plan expires for a given range. This will be used for the monthly renewal type of
subscription plans. The utilization report will provide information on how each
subscription plan is performing over a given time frame.
To list the full integration of this feature into Phoenix is beyond the scope of
this document and more information can be obtained through your representative.
Secure Terminal (Cash Drawer)
This new feature adds another layer of security on your cash drawers. When turned
on, this feature will only allow the clerk that opened a cash drawer to utilize
that station and will prevent clerk “A” from using clerk “B”’s work station. A new
employee privilege has been added for your managers to override this setting enabling
them to work on any station [Override Secure Terminal].
New Customer Editor Buttons
Two new buttons have been added to the customer editor screen: view rented inventory
and view customer AR. Now when you are reviewing a customer, at the editor, you
have the full range of information to make your decisions.
Game Ratings
The ESRB ratings have been added to the rating table and the minimum rating age
checking systems. ("E"/"Every*" = 6+, "T"/"TEEN*" = 13+, "M"/"Mature*" = 17+, "A"/"AO"/"Adult*"
= 18+). Rental Sales Tax Code A new sales tax code has been added for your rental
product during a sale. This will accommodate the regions that have a different rental
and sales tax on rental product. Now you will be able to sell your rental product
without moving it to the merchandise database. Void and Void No Penalty Privilege
This release of Phoenix has modified the Void and Void No Penalty functions during
the return of a late rental item and looks at the privilege “Transaction – Delete
ADR Fee” to allow or deny the function. In addition, a Manager Override login screen
has been added so that a manager, with the privilege, can quickly login (in stream)
to delete the ADR. The AR delete feature has been modified to require only the delete
ADR flag to perform the delete. Previously the global delete privilege was required
in addition to the delete ADR flag.
Package Price Function Key
A new assignable function key, at transactions, has been added for the Package Pricing
feature.
Additional Customer Info Transactions
The customer life number and life dollars spent at your store is now displayed when
the customer is scanned at the transaction screen.
Audit History ADR Delete
The description line for ADR deletes, in the audit history area, has been modified
to include customer name and ID number.
Reservations
A new column for the rental product format has been added to the reservation section.
Also, you now may edit the notes that are placed on a reservation.
Inventory Out Screen
A new function to copy the displayed list of rented items to the Windows clipboard
is now available.
ADR Labeling
Changed the labeling on the batch check-in screen to “Automatically assign ADR fee”.
Station Number Assignment
The user can now assign the station number by setting a value in the operational
control section.
Employee E-mail Function
A new employee (interoffice) email system has been created to allow communication
to other employees within the Phoenix system. This is in-office email only. These
features are available through our upgrade program. Contact your representative
today to put these powerful tools to work for you (800) 922-4556.
